January 2012 School Events
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DAY: There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16th, Martin Luther King Holiday.
ZOO MOBILE: The Zoo Mobile will be coming to Little Red on Thursday, January 19th. The children will experience seeing and touching a variety of live animals. Many thanks to the Dell'Osso family for providing this enriching, educational experience for the children of Little Red.
FLUFFY FRIEND DAY: On Thursday, January 26th, the children may invite their favorite small stuffed animal to spend the day with them at school. The friends will sit together, work together and at the end of the day be treated to a friend party. The "party animals" will have treats and dancing, and we'll party until the "cows come home." Bringing their stuffed animal to school will be their "Show and Tell" that day.
PARENTS HELP: To help create a fun Fluffy Friend Day, we ask for your assistance. Please send your child's stuffed animal in a paper sack with three clues about the animal written on the sack. During "Show and Tell" we will read the clues and the children will try to guess the animal inside. The kids love guessing games and this sharpens listening skills and critical thinking skills in a fun way. A reminder will be emailed to you at the end of the month. OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, January 28th from 1:30 - 3:30. CK's Little Red teachers will be at Greystone and over in the main Christ the King building to answer any questions you might have.
