School Information
CK's Little Red Schoolhouse, an early childhood branch of Christ the King Catholic School (www.ckschool.com), is a child-centered, traditional, private, Catholic, half-day preschool serving children between the ages of 3 and 6 years in Oklahoma City, OK. The school is a Montessori-based preschool with a blended educational philosophy of various early childhood theories that are current, developmentally appropriate, promote hands-on learning and value the individual child. The school is housed in Greystone Presbyterian Church (www.gpcokc.com). The school has been at its current location for the past 25 years with a seven-member staff, most of whom have taught at this school for at least 15 years. Here are a few highlights about the program:
* Low student/teacher ratios.
* Highly qualified, experienced, teachers with degrees in Education - many of whom have their Master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
* Well-rounded, developmentally appropriate curriculum that covers math, literacy, art, science, music, religion and social studies.

* Religious education that aids each child's spiritual and moral growth and development.

In 2008, CK's Little Red was selected to be a part of the Oklahoma A+ Schools Network (www.aplusok.org) - one of the few preschools to achieve this accomplishment. As part of the A+ Network, we believe that an arts-integrated curriculum best serves all students. We know that learning styles are highly individualized, so we design our curriculum to accommodate the learning style of each student.
